A series of activities to introduce kids, parents and teachers to science, particularly astronomy.

A series of activities to introduce kids, parents and teachers to science, particularly astronomy.

Activities:

1. A workshop to launch water rockets, which are then launched into space.

Time: 6.30 p.m.

Place: Amphitheatre outside Lecture Building 2 – University of Alicante

2. A stand where an amateur radio astronomy station will be set up, allowing us to use radio waves to contact the planet Jupiter.

Time: 6 p.m.

Place: Area between the University Council & Administration Building and the Control Tower – University of Alicante

3. Stargazing session. There will be numerous telescopes available (provided by Astroingeo members) for visitors to observe the night sky: the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, nebulae, galaxies, etc.

Time: 9.30 p.m.
