Have you ever had an operation? Have you ever gone to the dentist? Have you ever broken a bone? Have you ever taken your pet to the vet? Have you ever taken paracetamol when you had a fever? If you answered YES to any of these questions, you probably know that all this is possible thanks to small heroes without capes: experimental animals.

Most experiments are carried out on mice (Mus musculus).

Would you like to know why?

Join us at the European Researchers’ Night to discover why this small animal is a researcher’s best friend and why it has saved so many lives. You will also learn about its biology and how we look after them in the Animal Laboratory.

Coordinated by: Sonia Segura Llobregat, Animal Laboratory-Research Support Services

Date and time: 30/09/2022 6-10 p.m.

Place: University of Alicante – San Vicente del Raspeig Campus
