Main event ERN 2023 -UA-Workshop-“Fun physics”
This activity consists of fun and exciting physics experiments, aiming to stimulate interest in physics and scientific careers.
This time, several experiments on waves are carried out: transverse, longitudinal and stationary waves are observed, the phenomenon of resonance is explained using pendulums of different lengths, participants are shown an interesting system of pendulums of multiple lengths and a surprising dance of pendulums, an airzooka is used to create smoke rings and attendees learn about the importance of soundboxes in music. There is a workshop to form stationary waves with simple materials.
Kids are also put inside a giant soap bubble. Moreover, participants are shown how elementary particles can be accelerated and fluid physics experiments are conducted, such as generating a tornado in a bottle or studying the force exerted by atmospheric pressure.
