Participants in these workshops experience what it is like to be blind or have low vision and the impact this has on the daily lives of patients with blindness.
Workshop 1. How can I move around if I have low vision? Participants have to complete an obstacle course with the aid of a cane, as if they had varying degrees of blindness. They face the same obstacles low-vision people have to overcome every day.
Workshop 2. Let’s play basketball. Participants play a basketball game wearing glasses that reduce vision.
